On the morning of December 26, 2025, a delegation from Nam Can Tho University (DNC), including administrators, lecturers, staff, and students, paid a practical field visit and held a working session at the Song Hau 1 Thermal Power Plant. This is one of the nation’s key energy projects, playing a vital role in ensuring energy security and supplying electricity to the Mekong Delta region.

The visit was organized to strengthen cooperation between the University and the enterprise, while creating valuable opportunities for lecturers and students to access a large-scale industrial production environment. This activity helps closely link theoretical training with hands-on practice, update modern technologies and operational processes, thereby improving training quality to meet the real demands of the labor market.

During the working session, the delegation was introduced by the plant’s leaders and engineers to an overview of the plant’s scale, capacity, advanced operating technologies, and closed-loop power generation process. Detailed sharing on fuel utilization, strict environmental control systems, and high technical and safety standards provided the delegation with a comprehensive understanding of the operations of a modern power plant.

The delegation directly visited the plant’s power production system, from the coal receiving port area, fuel handling system, highly automated central control room, to large-capacity generating units. The grandeur, modernity, and professionalism in every operational stage left a deep impression on all administrators, lecturers, and students.
