DNC - On the morning of September 18, 2025, Nam Can Tho University hosted a working session between the delegation from Truong Son Construction Corporation (Army Corps 12 – Ministry of National Defense) and the University. The session held significant importance in strengthening the cooperative relationship between the University and the military enterprise, opening up numerous opportunities for internships, employment, and applied research for students immediately after graduation.

The delegation was led by Colonel Nguyễn Viết Duẩn – Deputy Head of the Labor Organization Department, along with Personnel Assistant Bùi Văn Long. Representing Nam Can Tho University were members of the Board of Rectors, specialized departments, and a large number of students.

At the beginning of the working session, the representative of the Corporation introduced the history, mission, and outstanding achievements of Trường Sơn – a Heroic Unit of the People’s Armed Forces under the Ministry of National Defense, and a leader in constructing national key projects. Notable examples include the North–South Expressway, Biên Hòa–Vũng Tàu Expressway, Long Thành International Airport, as well as numerous strategic infrastructure projects in the Mekong Delta region.

The main session focused on discussions regarding training and recruitment cooperation. The Corporation expressed its desire to collaborate with the University in receiving students for internships and practical training, creating opportunities for hands-on experience and enhancing professional skills. This marks an important step in enabling DNC students to gain work experience in the disciplined and professional environment of a military enterprise.

In addition, the delegation provided a detailed introduction to three ongoing projects in Cà Mau: the Cà Mau – Cái Nước Expressway, the Cái Nước – Đất Mũi Expressway, and the transportation route to Hòn Khoai Island. These projects not only hold great significance for the socio-economic development of the southernmost region of the country but also create many attractive job opportunities for students in construction, transportation engineering, technical fields, economics, and project management.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to jointly organize networking programs and on-site recruitment consultations at DNC, with the aim of attracting and developing high-quality human resources to serve national projects. This marks an important milestone, affirming DNC’s pioneering role in connecting students with enterprises and integrating academic knowledge with real-world practice.
