With the aim of strengthening collaboration between the university and the business sector, while expanding learning, internship, and employment opportunities for students, on October 17, 2025, at the VinFast manufacturing plant in Hai Phong, Nam Can Tho University held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company.

VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company, a member of Vingroup – one of Vietnam’s leading multi-industry private economic groups, is a pioneer in the production of electric cars and smart electric motorcycles in Vietnam.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Đào Duy Anh, Director of Recruitment and representative of VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Joint Stock Company, alongside a delegation from Nam Can Tho University led by Dr. Trần Hữu Xinh, Vice Rector, as well as representatives from various departments and the Faculty of Automative Engineering.

Within the framework of the working visit to the VinFast Manufacturing Plant in Hai Phong, both parties held a meeting and discussions aimed at expanding the cooperative relationship between the enterprise and the university. This collaboration opens up numerous opportunities in training, research, and professional practice-particularly in the field of mechanical engineering and power engineering-contributing to the enhancement of human resource quality and aligning educational activities with the practical needs of the business.
Both parties agreed to collaborate on developing an industry internship program, organizing training courses, specialized workshops, seminars, and discussions to keep pace with emerging technological trends and enhance the professional capabilities of faculty and students, while simultaneously meeting the actual workforce needs of the enterprise.
VinFast will host DNC students for internships, observational training, and industry internships, providing opportunities for students to experience a modern working environment, apply their knowledge in practice, and develop professional skills, thereby improving their employment prospects upon graduation.

Notably, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening significant opportunities for students majoring in Automotive Engineering, Electric Vehicles, and related technical fields to undertake internships, study, and work at the VinFast manufacturing plant as well as within the VinFast network nationwide. Additionally, this agreement expands employment opportunities at VinFast factories abroad. This marks an important milestone, enabling DNC students to access advanced technology and enhance their professional skills and expertise in an international environment.
