On the afternoon of October 22, 2025, at the Yersin Meeting Room, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) solemnly held a ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television. This event marks an important milestone in the university’s communication and development strategy, opening a new chapter in promoting its image, sharing knowledge, and disseminating educational and scientific research achievements to the wider community.
Can Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television is a public media organization under the Can Tho Party Committee. Officially established on July 1, 2025, it was formed through the merger of several local media agencies following the administrative consolidation of Can Tho City with Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces. The organization operates on multiple platforms, including print and online newspapers, radio, television, and digital media channels. Its programs are broadcast in Vietnamese, Khmer, and English. Currently, the agency manages three specialized television channels: Can Tho 1 (News and Current Affairs), Can Tho 2 (Education and Entertainment), and Can Tho 3 (Khmer-language Programming).
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with the participation of senior leaders from both sides. On the side of Can Tho Newspaper, Radio, and Television, Mr. Huynh Hoang Men, a member of the Can Tho City Party Committee and Acting Editor-in-Chief, was present, along with Mrs. Le Thi Diem Chau, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, and leaders from various specialized departments. On the university's side, Dr. Nguyen Van Quang, Party Secretary and Rector of the University, attended, accompanied by Dr. Tran Huu Xinh, Vice Rector, and other leaders from the university's departments and centers.
