On July 19, 2025, the International Conference on “Smart Vehicles and Advanced Manufacturing – ICSVAM2025” was successfully held at Hall E2, Nam Can Tho University. The event attracted a large number of scientists, experts, businesses, and students from both domestic and international institutions.

The workshop was organized to promote research, facilitate knowledge sharing, and enhance academic-technological collaboration among scientists, businesses, and students. The topics focused on the application of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and automation in the fields of transportation and industrial manufacturing, aiming for operational efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainable development.

The event holds not only academic significance but also strategic importance, contributing to policy orientation, innovation in production models, and inspiring the younger generation toward a smart, sustainable, and humane industrial future.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Quang emphasized the significance of the workshop in bridging scientific research with practical applications, while affirming the university's role in promoting international collaboration.

The conference opening commenced with the latest scientific reports, focusing on advanced technological solutions with high applicability and a commitment to sustainable development in the future

• Prof. Dr. Kanit Wattana-Vichien shared about Dimethyl Ether (DME) – an alternative fuel aimed at achieving net-zero emissions.
• Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong presented on advanced manufacturing technologies in the automotive industry, highlighting the application of automation and the concept of digital twins.
• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Quoc Hung delivered an in-depth introduction to autonomous vehicle control methods based on deep learning.
• Prof. Dr. Wei-Cheng Wang analyzed urgent environmental issues and presented solutions for carbon emission reduction in the aviation industry.
• PhD candidate Nguyen Van Tong Em presented his research on the design and simulation of a hybrid powertrain system for amphibious vehicles.

Within the framework of the workshop, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was held between Nam Can Tho University, ThinkSmart Group Co., Ltd., and Nexgen Solutions Co., Ltd., concluding the program in a positive and promising atmosphere.

The cooperation agreement focuses on key areas such as scientific research, advanced technology transfer, high-quality human resource training, as well as support for student internships and entrepreneurship.

The ICSVAM2025 workshop successfully fulfilled its role as a forum for sharing knowledge and advanced technological solutions, contributing to strengthening the close connection between universities, businesses, and research organizations, while laying the foundation for highly practical research-application collaborative projects in the future.
