On July 23, in Can Tho, a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony was held between Nam Can Tho University and the Southern Region Information Center of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA). Accordingly, the two sides will enhance information exchange, embrace innovation, and expand cooperation in areas such as education, image communication, event organization, printing, and more.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Party Committee Secretary and Rector of Nam Can Tho University – stated: “This is an important milestone that opens up strong cooperation opportunities to promote communication efforts, provide valuable educational information to the community, and spread knowledge throughout society. The event marks a key step in the development plan, contributing to enhancing teaching quality and modern, internationally standardized facilities, aligning with the integration trend and attracting international students not only in medicine but also in other disciplines the university is focusing on.”

The two parties will not only cooperate in providing educational information but also jointly build a comprehensive learning, research, and development environment for knowledge seekers,” emphasized Dr. Nguyen Van Quang.
At the ceremony, representatives from departments and faculties of Nam Can Tho University expressed their desire for the Vietnam News Agency to accompany and support the realization of the university’s “internationalization” strategy set by the University Council. This includes media activities targeting international students and establishing cooperation links with institutes and universities that VNA already has relations with.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan – Director of the Southern Region Information Center of VNA – expressed his belief that this cooperation will bring multifaceted benefits, especially practical value for students and the community.
The Vietnam News Agency is a major media organization with more than 60 types of information products including news sources, printed newspapers, and online newspapers, published in 10 languages. VNA maintains cooperation with over 40 international news agencies and media organizations, providing a solid foundation to support effective communication for the university.
In addition, the Southern Region Information Center of VNA has strengths in training communication skills courses such as news writing, photography, video production, brand management, multimedia communication, and media crisis handling. These are valuable skills aligned with the Multimedia Communication major that Nam Can Tho University is developing.
Vietnam News Agency also owns two printing enterprises: ITAXA One-Member Co., Ltd. and One-Member Printing and Trading Co., Ltd., which can effectively cooperate with the university in the printing field: printing diploma templates, yearbooks, monthly journals, scientific magazines, student handbooks, catalogs, flyers, etc.
