DNC - More than 20 students from the Faculty of Business Administration and Marketing Union and the Hau Giang Student Association (Nam Can Tho University) actively participated in summer volunteer activities in Vi Tan Ward, Can Tho City.
From July 20 to July 26, Nam Can Tho University students, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Vi Tan Ward, carried out numerous community volunteer activities. Highlights included visiting and presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious service to the revolution, taking part in “back-to-the-roots” journeys, and engaging with historical witnesses.
In addition, the students donated 50 gifts worth over 20 million VND to disadvantaged students in the ward; organized English classes for Khmer ethnic minority children; and conducted campaigns on drowning prevention for local children.
Young volunteers offered incense in remembrance of heroes and martyrs at the memorial house of the Vi Thanh Town Party Committee Base Relic Site (Vi Tan Ward, Can Tho City).
The students also joined local youth in implementing the youth project “Bright – Green – Clean – Beautiful – Safe Road,” spanning 2 kilometers, which included clearing bushes, collecting garbage, raising awareness, and guiding residents on waste separation at source.
Responding to the “Digital Literacy for All” movement, local youth together with Nam Can Tho University students formed a volunteer team to promote and guide digital transformation.
Residents received direct support from youth members to register accounts on the National Public Service Portal.
Furthermore, the volunteers went door to door in neighborhoods to directly assist residents in installing and registering accounts on the National Public Service Portal for handling administrative procedures online.
These volunteer activities created opportunities for youth members and students to practice, dedicate, and grow, contributing to building a generation of young people who live with integrity, resilience, knowledge, health, and social skills—ready to contribute to the cause of national construction and defense.
