On July 6, the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges awarded the Certificate of Educational Institution Quality Accreditation to Nam Can Tho University (DNC).
Labor Hero, People's Teacher, Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan – the university’s Rector shared: "The external evaluation team conducted a preliminary survey at the university on March 1, 2018, followed by an official survey from March 27 to 31, 2018."
On May 26, 2018, DNC reported to the Education Quality Accreditation Council in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province. After a period of serious work, with an objective and deeply humanistic spirit from the evaluation team, Nam Can Tho University successfully completed the educational quality accreditation process.
The Education Quality Accreditation Council unanimously approved the recognition and granted the Certificate of Educational Quality Accreditation to Nam Can Tho University with a vote of 10/10 from all council members. The accreditation results comprehensively reflected the quality of education and all other activities of the university.
Also on July 6, Nam Can Tho University inaugurated the automobile mechanical workshop, which has a usable area of 1,200m², consisting of 2 floors with a total investment in construction and equipment for the first phase of over VND 25 billion. In the near future, the university plans to invest an additional VND 25 billion in laboratory and practical training equipment. The total investment in this facility is approximately VND 50 billion to support education and scientific research for students of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology.
Recently, Nam Can Tho University has paid special attention to the enterprise-linked training model within the university, signing strategic cooperation agreements with many enterprises and companies. On the occasion of the automobile mechanical workshop’s inauguration, DNC signed strategic cooperation agreements with two enterprises: TaTa International and ISUZU An Khanh to support student internships, practical experiences, and job recruitment.
DNC is completing documentation to commence the construction of Nam Can Tho General Hospital with a capacity of 300 beds on an area of nearly 25,000m² in the center of Can Tho City. The hospital will function in medical examination and treatment, scientific research, and medical training, serving as a practice facility for students from the university's Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy.
