DNC – To honor and recognize the achievements of the university and two individuals in recent times, on April 27, 2023, Nam Can Tho University held a ceremony to receive the Prime Minister's Commendation and to launch its English website.
At the ceremony, the university and two outstanding individuals were honored to receive commendations from the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This marks a significant milestone in the university's contributions to scientific research and human resource training for Can Tho city and the Mekong Delta region, contributing to the development of socialism and the defense of the nation.
After a decade of establishment and growth, Nam Can Tho University has affirmed its important role as a teaching and research institution, enhancing the university's brand. The ceremony served as an opportunity for generations of lecturers to meet, share, and foster the university's traditions, motivating the successful fulfillment of the university's academic missions and contributing to effective political tasks and the continuous development of the educational system.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dong – Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City; Mr. Huynh Hoang Men – Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Can Tho City, along with leaders of various higher education institutions, healthcare institutions, and former leaders of city departments and districts. Representing Nam Can Tho University were Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung – Chairman of the University Council, Chairman of Nam Can Tho University Medical Center; AHLĐ.NGND.GS.TS. Vo Tong Xuan – Honorary Rector; and Dr. Nguyen Van Quang – Party Secretary, Rector of the University.
On this occasion, to expand international cooperation in education and applied scientific research for both faculty and students, Nam Can Tho University officially launched the English version of its website at https://en.nctu.edu.vn/. The launch of the English website is a further step in the university's ongoing innovation and development efforts, enhancing user convenience and supporting partners, particularly international ones, in accessing information about Nam Can Tho University.
