The College of Health Sciences under Nam Can Tho University (DNC) has officially been established following the organizational restructuring and replacement of the DNC Institute of Health Sciences.
On January 4, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the University Council of Nam Can Tho University, announced that the College of Health Sciences was formed through the reorganization of the former Institute of Health Sciences and is located within the university campus.
The College of Health Sciences is responsible for managing and operating the following units: the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of International Medicine, Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology, Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Pre-Clinical Hospital. The College provides undergraduate and postgraduate education in the field of health sciences with an application-oriented approach; conducts scientific research, technology transfer, and international cooperation; and manages faculty members, staff, learners, and facilities in accordance with the delegated authority of Nam Can Tho University.
According to Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, in recent years, Nam Can Tho University has continuously invested in the development of its academic staff, infrastructure, and an integrated ecosystem for education, practice, and research, while diversifying academic disciplines and training models. In the coming period, the University will remain committed to advancing higher education associated with quality, international integration, and sustainability—placing learners at the center, using international standards as benchmarks, and contributing to the training of high-quality human resources for society.
