In recent years, students from Nam Can Thơ University have not only stood out academically but have also actively taken on the role of "youth ambassadors," contributing to the promotion of tourism and cuisine in Can Tho—a land of rich cultural identity and heartfelt Mekong Delta hospitality. In tune with the spirit of youth nationwide, volunteer students from the university ventured to the Tho Chau Special Zone (An Giang Province) to participate in the "Green Summer" campaign.
Accordingly, the student delegation from Nam Can Thơ University, in collaboration with the Youth Union of Tho Chau Special Zone, launched a youth volunteer unit to assist local authorities in operating a two-level governance model and providing online public services at the grassroots level.
Not only active in academics and research, many students of Nam Can Thơ University are also showcasing their new and creative roles as travel photo models. With a youthful, approachable image and love for their homeland, they have helped highlight the beauty of Can Tho through each photo and frame.

This campaign is part of a nationwide initiative launched by the Central Youth Union, taking place in 3,321 communes, wards, and special zones across the country, aiming to bring digital technology and public services closer to the people.
In Can Tho, the City Youth Union coordinated with the An Giang Provincial Youth Union to deploy a special volunteer team to the Tho Chau Special Zone, considered the “frontline outpost” of the southwestern sea.
At the campaign’s launch event, students directly assisted local people in creating VNeID electronic identity accounts, registering for level-2 authentication, and effectively using online public services. Many residents, using the digital application for the first time, expressed satisfaction seeing administrative procedures become much simpler with just a few taps.

“The days spent here were tough but also the most meaningful days of our youth—especially when we can bring knowledge to a remote island still facing many shortages.
– Phan Thi Thanh Thao, student of Business Administration – Marketing
In addition to supporting public services, the volunteer team also carried out practical youth-led community projects, contributing to improving local living conditions and spreading the pioneering spirit of youth to remote island areas.
