In response to the severe impact of the recent storms and floods in Phu Yen Province in particular and the Central region in general, Nam Can Tho University (DNC) and Nam Can Tho University Medical Centerjointly contributed 650 million VND—including 500 million VND from the University and 150 million VND from the Medical Center—to support households heavily affected by the disaster
This contribution is not only financial assistance but also a meaningful act of sharing responsibility with the community after the heavy losses endured by local residents. As the floodwaters receded, many families were left with nothing—homes, belongings, and livelihoods swept away—leaving their lives completely upended. With this spirit, on the morning of November 28, 2025, the DNC working delegation departed, carrying with them heartfelt compassion and the hope of helping people soon stabilize their lives.
Early in the morning, the working delegation arrived in Tay Hoa Commune, where traces of the flood were still visible in every corner of the houses. The wet metal roofs and mud-stained walls reflected the hardships local residents had endured after days of struggling against rising waters. The delegation visited each household to deliver essential support, helping families repair their homes and regain stability. More than material assistance, this gesture reaffirmed that they are not alone in their journey to overcome the disaster. The morning in Tay Hoa marked the beginning of a meaningful day of volunteer work, filled with deep and heartfelt emotions.

The road leading into the commune still bore traces of receding water, and many families had yet to recover from the disaster. The team brought essentail support to help residents address their most urgent needs. Many shared their stories — from the helplessness they felt as the water rose to the hope they regained when they saw the community come together to help. The midday visit to Hoa Thinh became a moment filled with compassion and deep human connection.

Beyond providing support, the team took time to listen and share in the residents’ losses. From the desperate efforts to escape the flood at night to the sighs at seeing belongings swept away, the resilience of the Central Vietnamese people shone through. The assistance delivered carried a message that many hearts are still watching over and ready to help. Hoa My left the delegation with deep reflection and a sense of complete solidarity.

The support provided to each household gave them motivation to handle the numerous post-flood expenses.
