This August, Dr. Vân Thy – lecturer of the Department of Behavioral Science, Faculty of International Medicine – successfully completed her internship and professional training in the United States under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phillip Trần, Director of the DNC Health Science Institute. The journey not only broadened her academic horizons but also affirmed Nam Can Tho University’s (DNC) commitment to deep international integration and its strong support for faculty in advancing modern medical education and research.

At partner clinical facilities, Dr. Vân Thy directly participated in the examination of both inpatient and outpatient cases, performing and observing various clinical procedures in an international-standard environment. Notably, her training at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) provided exposure to multidisciplinary treatment protocols, rigorous quality control standards, and a collaborative care model among physicians, nurses, and technicians.

A noteworthy highlight: Dr. Vân Thy stayed at the DNC Center for International Research and Connectivity in the United States – a ‘bridge’ supporting the university’s lecturers and students in training, research, and collaboration. From convenient living and learning facilities to the ability to connect with experts, the center helps shorten geographical distances, enabling exchange programs, internships, and international conferences to be carried out flexibly and effectively.
