On the morning of January 9, Nam Can Tho University organized the “Seminar on New Technologies in Modern Automobiles in 2021” with the aim of enhancing knowledge and the ability to apply new technologies in automotive research and product development for engineers, staff, and lecturers of the university. The seminar also aimed to boost knowledge and motivation for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, especially final-year students preparing for internships and practical training.

The seminar attracted the participation of numerous professors, doctors, and leading experts in the automotive field

A total of 13 research presentations were delivered by scholars, scientists, and top specialists in automotive technology from institutes, universities, and companies involved in automotive education and business. The topics covered a wide range of areas, including global and Vietnamese automotive industry trends and challenges; electric and self-driving vehicles; new engine and automotive component technologies; advanced materials; alternative fuels and emission treatment; and vehicle control systems.

In addition, experts from companies such as Toyota, Thaco (Trường Hải Auto), and SDE presented on cutting-edge technologies in Toyota and Mazda vehicles, as well as innovative design methods using modern software platforms.

The seminar was chaired by the Labor Hero and People's Teacher, Prof. Dr. Vo Tong Xuan, who currently serves as the Rector Emeritus of Nam Can Tho University.
